MSFriends, providing immediate lifelines to those in need.

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a chronic illness that affects 1.5 million people and their families in the US alone. MS affects people of all ages and race, with many suffering in silent isolation. People diagnosed with MS often don't know where to turn, that's where MS Friends comes in.

MSFriends is an outreach organization, built to help those recently diagnosed or currently suffering with MS. MSFriends is offering the first 24/7 telephone helpline staffed with people who have MS.

MSFriends has the primary mission of improving the quality of life for people with Multiple Sclerosis, for their families and friends. The organization has grown from coast to coast, offering help to many who would otherwise have nowhere else to go for information and guidance on the next steps of dealing with MS.

Amelia Davis

MSFriends President and award winning photographer Amelia Davis was diagnosed with MS in 1998. Amelia knows firsthand the daily struggles of living with MS, which fuels her passion to further spread awareness and gain support for MSFriends. Amelia has avidly headed development and growth for MSFriends, which has led to nationwide 24/7 support. Amelia has written a touching article for QCN about her experience with MS, which can be read here.

QCN is proud to partner with Amelia and MSFriends to spread further awareness of their great work to the quilting community. It's our goal to reach out and support quilters everywhere who are faced with the challenges of MS.

We're encouraging quilters to take a look at the MSFriends website, and spread the word with friends and family. With over 1.5 million people living with MS in the US alone, there are many out there who can use our help.
